Made to be broken

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Next time you plan on attending a wedding, make sure to stop by {far4} for the perfect gift! A porcelain plate that reads “Good fortune” in Russian (in 24kt gold) is one of the latest collaboration between Porcelain Studio Klimenkoff and the Moscow based design firm entitled OPEN! According to an old Russian tradition, if a newlywed couple breaks a piece of porcelain upon entering into their new home they will have a long and happy marriage. At $500, this plate comes in a gift box and includes a certificate describing the correct procedure for breaking (all in Russian, of course). We guarantee that your present will be the most memorable!
